Southern Indiana Chapter of the American Guild of Organists

The Southern Indiana Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Dear Visitor,

Welcome to the website of the Southern Indiana American Guild of Organists! We are a small, but growing chapter, established twelve years ago, located in southern Indiana near Louisville, KY, with whom we share many new, historic, and interesting pipe organs. You may tour and listen to several local instruments in our Gallery of Organs.

Our activities for the 2007-2008 year include:

October: Pipes and Pumpkins with Costumes and Candy

November: Organ Crawl

January: Member trip to New York City

Twelfth Night Dinner on January 5

Winter Choral Music Festival

February: Pedals, Pipes, and Pizza

March: Guest Artist Recital featuring Michael Dirk

April: Handbell workshop and informance

    Memorial Concert featuring Faures Requiem

May: Hamilton Family Musical Evening

In addition to these activities, our members join with Indiana Organists United (Alumni of the organ department at IU, Bloomington, IN) in the annual New Albany, IN, Lenten Concert Series at noon on the Fridays during Lent. This series features members performing on various organs in the area. Check the calendar of events for full details.

We hope you will visit our website frequently for updates and perhaps see us in person soon!
